The 2009 International Wind-Diesel Workshop brought together a focused group of interested parties — government, private industry and non-governmental organizations — with experience and interest in wind-diesel.
The topics covered during the presentations and panel sessions ranged from technical discussions of available systems and recent innovations, to more policy-oriented sessions regarding the challenges of promoting wind-diesel in Canada and other jurisdictions.
Pre-Workshop: Introduction to Wind Diesel Systems
This four hour course covered the basics of wind-diesel power systems, including power systems technology and some examples of current hybrid power systems.
