Coalbed Methane and SalmonAssessing the Risks

Publication - May 15, 2008 - By GW Solutions Inc., Jaisel Vadgama

Coalbed methane (CBM) development has been proposed for Northwest British Columbia's Headwaters region, where three of the province's most important wild salmon rivers, the Skeena, Nass and Stikine, begin. This report evaluates the potential impacts of CBM extraction on salmon and salmon habitat, and explains the need for further research before development proceeds.
