Climate Change Resource Book for Journalists

Publication - June 7, 2001 - By Matthew Bramley

This new resource was compiled to assist journalists in covering the climate change issue. It contains all the main facts and figures about this issue in Canada today. Its four sections look at:

  • the science and impacts of climate change
  • international activity on climate change
  • Canada's policy framework on climate change
  • examples of Canadian action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions

Each section contains a series of fact sheets in the form of short backgrounders, glossaries or chronologies with clear, tabulated information that includes extensive lists of websites and contacts for further information on each issue. There are 22 fact sheets in total.

The resource book was updated in June 2001, just prior to the resumption of the sixth Conference of the Parties in Bonn. It is now available online at no charge, with easy-to-use clickable links, or an updated print version can be ordered for $24.95, including shipping and GST.
