Methane, the primary ingredient in natural gas, is a powerful greenhouse gas and the oil and gas industry is among the largest emitters. In Canada, companies are wasting hundreds of millions of dollars of natural gas every year.

Regulatory action in Canada is key to improved methane management, compelling industry to better conserve natural gas and prevent further environmental damage. This infographic sums up the state of methane regulations federally and provincially. As of this publication, none of these planned regulations and commitments have yet been enacted.
