Publication - May 27, 2010 - By Helen Goodland

The Pembina Institute engaged Light House Sustainable Building Centre to assess the cost implications of energy efficiency and renewables strategies that go beyond minimum B.C. Building Code requirements.

This study assesses new construction strategies that can result in a 30 per cent improvement over current building code for multi-family residential and non-residential buildings that are admissible under Part 3 of the Building Code and for single family homes and low rise buildings that fall under Part 9 of the B.C. Building Code.
