CALGARY — Cheryl De Paoli is the new strategic partnerships director at Pembina Institute, starting July 20. She will be based in Calgary.

De Paoli joins Pembina after serving as executive director at the Alberta Real Estate Foundation (AREF) for nine years, where she managed $17 million in assets, built its granting program to $2 million a year, and was an active member of the charitable foundation community in Canada.

De Paoli also serves as a member of the steering committee for the Energy Futures Lab, was on the board of directors for the Calgary Chamber of Voluntary Organizations, and completed the 2019 Community Shift program for not-for-profit leaders at the Ivey School of Business. She has partnership-building experience with global corporate, governmental and non-governmental organizations, including in Argentina, India, Mexico, Turkey, and the U.S. She holds a master of science in business from the University of Bath, and bachelor of commerce from the University of Calgary.
