Harrison Mar is an analyst with the Pembina Institute's Oil and Gas program, based in Vancouver. His work focuses on analyzing the emissions impact of the oil and gas sector across Canada.
Harrison holds a B.Sc. in environmental science and a M.Sc. in forestry from the University of British Columbia. His graduate research focused on developing a tool to diagnose electrolyzer cell performance during CO2 reduction and water electrolysis.
Prior to joining the Pembina Institute he worked with the UN Environment Programme's Climate and Clean Air Coalition on short-lived climate pollutants, and Foresight Canada on accelerating cleantech adoption in Canada. Most recently, he worked with the British Columbia Non-Profit Housing Association as a building energy specialist, supporting affordable housing societies throughout building energy retrofits.
In his free time, Harrison enjoys climbing, biking, reading, and listening to music.
