Just Transition and Good Green Jobs for Alberta 2017 offers engaging and informative presenters and panel discussions.
Participants will work through tough issues including the phase out of coal-fired electricity, what is needed for a just transition, and how to ensure good jobs for Albertans and Canadians.
The keynote speaker is Samantha Smith, Director of the ITUC's Just Transition Centre. She will bring examples from around the globe of how others have managed successful transitions and share best practices we can apply at home.
Audience participation and discussions with experts will explore how to create the conditions for successful transitions for impacted workers and communities.
