Since 2016, remarkable progress on clean energy and diesel reduction in remote communities has been achieved through the combined efforts of strong federal policy and local, Indigenous leadership.
Underlying this are the incredible stories and lessons learned from local leaders, governments, and utilities who've all played an important role in making progress on one of Canada's most pressing and challenging energy realities: diesel dependency in remote communities.
The Pembina Institute is convening an evening of stories, reflections, and conversation on the ongoing role clean energy plays in this issue and what we've learned from a decade of action.
At the event, we'll hear from clean energy leaders from remote communities across Canada about the progress they've achieved and how their projects have developed. We'll also hear from experts and government representatives about the policy successes that have yielded this progress and the lessons learned from the innovative programs that have been developed over the past decade.
Note: this event is invite only. Please reach out to emilyh@pembina.org with any inquiries.
