Join our Electricity program director, Scott MacDougall, at Canada Climate Week Xchange taking place in Toronto, Ontario, November 24 to 30, 2025. Scott will be participating in a panel discussion on November 24 called Carbon Capture and Storage Solutions: Financing and Scaling for Canada. The panel will address the actions necessary to scale and finance carbon capture solutions to support Canada’s 2030 emission reduction goals.
The panel will cover the basics of how much carbon is emitted and the reductions we need before moving on to the policies needed to remove barriers and encourage growth. Speakers will also cover how public and private capital can de-risk projects and attract a broader range of investors.
