Nancy Wright, elected to a three-year term on the Pembina Institute's board of directors in June 2020, is the founder and principal of Nancy Wright & Associates, where she consults for B.C. based start-up cleantech companies. As the former chief operating officer for GLOBE Series, the world’s longest-running Leadership Summit for Sustainable Business, Nancy spent 25 years building what has become one of the most famous brands of sustainable business conferences in the world. Wearing several hats along the way as she grew the company, she met thousands of global thought leaders from both the public and private sectors over the course of her career, focused on their shared passion to accelerate the transition to a clean economy. As head of operations for GLOBE, her leadership was multi-faceted, leading everything from program strategy and partnerships, to marketing and team development.
Nancy has a broad knowledge of business-related environmental challenges, including key energy, climate change, and clean economy business and policy initiatives. Accelerating the transition to a low carbon economy is a long journey, and she relishes not only the challenges and successes, but also helping to make businesses better.
Nancy has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University.
