
Marissa Taylor brings more than 15 years of global international development experience in resource development and partnerships to her role as Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships at the Pembina Institute, based in Toronto. With a career spanning more than 30 countries across Asia, Africa, and Latin America, Marissa has led major initiatives in climate resilience, humanitarian emergency response, sustainable agriculture, health, and economic development. She is passionate about building respectful, equitable partnerships that drive impact and empower communities.
Marissa holds a master's degree in global health and international development from McMaster University. She is a climate fellow with Terra.do and a certified permaculturist, bringing a hands-on, systems-thinking approach to her work at the Pembina Institute. She is always finding ways to blend her passion for people and the planet with a good dose of curiosity and dirt-under-the-fingernails learning.
