Kevin Lockhart is the director of the Pembina Institute’s buildings program and is based in Toronto. His interest is in new and existing buildings with low energy use and emissions that provide, safe, healthy housing for all Canadians. Kevin leverages his hands-on experience and knowledge of building science, policy and regulatory tools to contribute to the development and implementation of net-zero, tiered construction codes for new buildings, municipal green development standards, and building performance standards for existing buildings. He brings a range of experience in electricity system policy, energy-efficient buildings and low-carbon construction, and municipal decarbonization.
Kevin holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Carleton University, and a master's degree in sustainable energy policy from Carleton University.
