Jiaxin Li

Jiaxin Li is an analyst with the buildings and urban solutions team at the Pembina Institute, based in Vancouver. Jiaxin holds a master's degree in public policy and global affairs from UBC. Her passion for aligning policies for transition to low-carbon economy and creating practical climate actions has led her to work in various fields: as a community energy coordinator at UBC Campus and Community Planning, as a researcher facilitating the Ministry of Energy, Mines & Petroleum Resources to examine policy options on the development of B.C.’s LNG industry, and as a UBC sustainability scholar in the field of green buildings. Jiaxin worked with the City of Surrey to decarbonize its existing building stock and with Metro Vancouver to build a regional building benchmarking program.
