
Hongyu Xiao is a senior analyst with the Pembina Institute's transportation team, based in Toronto. Before joining the Institute, Hongyu worked as an economist at Environment and Climate Change Canada, working on fossil fuel subsidy reform and providing economic analysis to the federal government’s climate plans. He is also experienced in legal analysis and advocacy, having been in legal practice in Singapore for three years.
Hongyu has a Bachelor of Laws degree from the National University of Singapore and a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Toronto.
