Hoda Talebian

Hoda Talebian is a senior analyst with the clean economy program at the Pembina Institute. She has expertise in energy system modeling for policy analysis, statistical modeling for macroeconomic data forecasting, and risk analysis.  Hoda is highly motivated to influence sustainable policy change through a science-based approach and make positive contribution to Canada’s clean energy transition.

Hoda holds a doctoral degree from the University of British Columbia in mechanical engineering, with focus on strategic investment planning and environmental analysis of low-carbon fuel infrastructures. She did a thorough analysis on policy processes and analyzed the costs and benefits of the regulations, market instruments, and tradable permits on emissions reductions from the road transport sector in B.C.

Hoda is a recipient of the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship, the most prestigious federal government scholarship for leadership and academic achievements in graduate studies.
