Caylie Warkentin

Caylie Warkentin is a digital communications lead with the Pembina Institute. She is based in Vancouver. She has previously worked in communications with ENGO Pacific Wild, contributing to various campaigns centred in terrestrial and marine conservation.

Caylie is completing a master’s in communication with a specialization in climate change at Carleton University. Her master’s thesis engages with visual material narratives of wildfire in Western Canada, considering the lived experiences of climate change as felt by human and more-than-human communities. As a climate communicator and writer, her work is grounded in a commitment to climate justice and advocacy for the communities impacted most. She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of British Columbia. 

In her free time, she enjoys hosting themed dinner parties, camping off-grid, and swimming in the Salish Sea.
