OTTAWA — The Pembina Institute is pleased to announce its School Solutions contest for students in grades 4 — 12/OAC with the theme: "Climate Change: Impacts and Success Stories."
Project manager Janet Sumner says, "School Solutions is a contest that inspires students to take action on climate change in a proactive way and offers teachers a way to introduce the subject in almost any area of the curriculum."
The deadline for the contest is April 30, 2001, which allows students to include Earth Day activities in their contest entries, encompasses art and design, video or writing success stories.
"Climate change is a very serious global issue, one that is important to Canadian youth. This contest provides Canadian youth with an opportunity to learn more about climate change, and take constructive action on it where it really counts: at home, in the school, and in the community," says Pembina Institute Education Program Specialist Dave Mussell
