Factor Building Panels site tour Prefabricated home construction facility

On October 24, 2018, Pembina Institute staff visited Factor Building Panels at its facility in Squamish. This is one of many local companies creating jobs and innovative products in B.C.'s growing green building sector.
Factor designs and manufactures prefabricated wall and roof panels for home construction using natural materials. A highlight of the tour was a demonstration of a panel being filled with recycled glass insulation.
These panels offer high levels of energy efficiency, indoor air quality, and sound insulation, and can be made to Passive House standards.
