An open letter sent from a coalition of environmental groups to Prime Minister Stephen Harper and U.S. President Barack Obama calls on both leaders to honour their commitments to act on climate change at the G8 and G20 meetings this summer.

The letter asks leaders to agree to take specific actions to "fight climate change, phase out subsidies for fossil fuels and support innovative mechanisms to generate climate finance for developing countries mitigation and adaptation efforts."
