Youth Leaders' Summit on Northern Climate Change2009

The Young Leaders' Summit on Northern Climate Change, held August 2009 in Inuvik, Northwest Territories, was designed to strengthen and support the network of young leaders in the North concerned about climate change, and to connect this network with national and global youth movements.

On August 20, 2009, 60 young Canadians issued the Declaration of the Young Leaders' Summit on Northern Climate Change calling for action on northern climate change. The declaration highlights four areas of concern about the progress of climate change issues and upcoming negotiations.
