EDMONTON — This week marks the launch of a new multimedia series, Green Energy Futures.
With 80 episodes planned over the next two years, this multimedia web channel is designed to help Canadians understand and embrace clean energy. With videos, podcasts, blogs and a variety of social media channels this project promises to be an engaging way to learn about the future of green, sustainable energy in Canada.
“Green Energy Futures is not about the politics of energy or climate change,” says host and producer, David Dodge. “Rather it is about telling the stories of people making a difference in their homes, cities and companies. It’s about a responsible and progressive transition from dirtier sources of energy to cleaner, more sustainable sources.”
The first episode features Chris Turner, author of The Geography of Hope and The Leap. In the following weeks Green Energy Futures will tell the stories of a pioneering wind cowboy, take a deeper look at sources of energy like geothermal and we’ll learn about one company’s plan to put 8,300 solar panels on Alberta roofs.
