Horizon North and Innotech Windows + Doors tours Manufacturing plant visits in Langley, B.C.

Apr. 17, 2019 11:00am PST Langley, B.C. tour - Invitation only

This spring, the Pembina Institute headed to suburban Langley, B.C., to visit the plants of two innovative companies that manufacture products for the construction industry.

Horizon North tour

Our first stop was Horizon North. The company produces modular buildings for residential, commercial, and industrial sites, including hotels, offices, and restaurants. Horizon North counts Vancouver's first temporary modular housing complex among its many projects. Modular construction, which is used for both permanent and temporary structures, is ideal for green buildings and can reduce the amount of carbon pollution and waste generated during the building process.

Innotech Windows + Doors tour

Then it was on to Innotech Windows + Doors. The company prides itself on making energy-efficient and durable products, which are installed in homes and buildings across North America. Innotech's Defender 88PH windows are Passive House Institute–certified for their high performance.
